Sydney

To start the trip off right, Brenan and I got to stay with Dan and Paula in Redondo Beach. It was a fabulous way to begin our adventure. U Dan picked us up from LAX at 11 that night, and we spent all day Wed chillin. We saw the Tortugas house gutted, I went for run on the beach, Brenan and I went for a swim. We went to dinner at Truxton's with D, P, G and G (thanks Grandpa!). We also hit up the world-famous Westchester skate park. Brenan was so stoked to be there, where apparently all the famous skaters film. So. We pretty much did a lot in our first 24 hours of vaca.

The Chester park.

10 pm departure.. We're off to Sydney! The kids did great, it was not a full plane so we were able to spread out a bit. Linds looks WAY too good for traveling, don't you think?
The Ollie-pop and me. He was a good travel buddy to snuggle with.
42 Beaumont Ave! Brenan and I took a cab since there wasn't enough room in N and L's car back from the airport with all of the luggage. It was so crazy we could recognize the house having never been there.. all because of blessed google earth. It was SO COLD when we arrived!
Beautiful view of the harbor and the bridge in the distance. This is just up from Linds' house.

Took a train ride up to the Blue Mountains.
Eating at our destination: Katoomba. I had a lovely capsicum (red pepper) sandwich. This is my dashing husband.
We stayed at the CUTEST bed and breakfast - The Lurline House. It was adorable.
Katoomba was so cute.
Hiking the Three Sisters. We went down the steepest, longest staircase ever. Our legs were both shaking.

 The three sisters.
He likes nature.
He really likes nature.
Beautiful waterfalls at Wentworth Falls.
Waiting for the bus back to the train. Cute little neighborhood.
One evening we picked up Nathan from work and took a Ferry to Manly. It was beautiful and very refreshing.. and not too cold, either. Most of the restaurants were closed so we picked up some sushi and kabobs and ate down by the ocean.

Walking Beckett to school one day. It was like I entered Harry Potter with a thousand little uniformed kids all playing 4 square with English (well, English to me) sounding accents.

Isn't he so cute!?
Doing the Coogee to Bondi walk/run. Brenan decided to do a little rock climbing mid-run.

Breathtaking, literally!
Cheesing at the Max-Brenner chocolate factory.
On a run with Linds. She can hustle! I was having a tough time keeping up with her. I think this is THE MOST BEAUTIFUL run I've ever done.
Bondi. Warm enough to ditch the vests for a while..

Self explanatory picture:

At the botanical gardens by the Harbor Bridge and Opera House.

Skating at the Sydney Olympic Park - last day we were in Sydney.

On the ferry home from the Olympic Park.
Which one does not look like the rest? Must be genetic.
Cool pirate ship! McKay would have loved to see it.
Our last moments in Sydney. Had to have one final trip to Bondi.

On our way back to the airport. I'm sitting behind Linds behind the wheel on the wrong side of the car, of course.
Highlight of the trip home for Brenan. He LOVES these things. Totally worth it to fly Delta. Good way to polish off a vacation :)

So fun! There was a Max-Brenner Chocolate place in Boston too! It was delicious - the smell alone was enough to put you in chocolate coma. I'm glad you guys had a great vacation!
