A haircut for Ev and celebrating Dad's bday
Evie's first haircut!
Before:
After. No more mullet.
A sucker to keep her occupied, and to catch any stray hairs.
Happy 28th to Mr. Klain. Airplane cookies (his favorite) and a good read.
(McKay still thinks he's in San Diego).
Best chocolate cake in the world.
Sunkissed cheeks.

Back in Provo
Not only was McKay sick on the way back to Provo, but we get home and there is a MOUSE in the kitchen! Don't worry, husband is a ninja and he killed it dead with my yoga mat. Amazing. Meanwhile, Ashley and I were both up on the couch/chair in the classic "mouse defense position. Good thing Dill and Brenan weren't afraid to go after it! Turns out there were actually 2 mice - we got them both and sealed off the cracks. NO MORE MICE PLEASE!
In the ikea drawer, and in need of a haircut.
Ev helping me stretch after a lunch-time jog.
Wearing McKay's worker-man goggles.
Oh we're barfing in the car...
Goodbye beautiful, sunny, sweet California. Hello reality! McKay decided to throw up his lunch in Mesquite, NV. We took a nice long break and ended up throwing away the pillow (it was dirty anyway) and his pants (they were ripped and wearing down). Driving away from 2 months of bliss...
Last run on the beach
My last run down Del Mar beach at 15th street. I stopped for a second on my run just to soak up the sounds and the smells and the view. I am going to miss this. Running in Provo doesn't have quite the same lure.
Last sunset
Our last drive down to 15th street.
Goodbye, cutest library ever!
Seagrove park. Enjoying our last beautiful West coast sunset.
Trick-or-Treating in Encinitas
McKay and Trystin.
Caden and Ev, getting rolled around like royalty.
When we returned to our complex, we visited our friend Deby Meister who we had met at the pool a few times. She had broken her arm so we were glad to have seen her one last time. She invited us in and we chatted a while before putting the kids to bed. We will miss our friends in Del Mar!!
San Diego ZOO!
With only a few days left in San Diego, we figured we better hit up the zoo and see what it was all about. We could have spent a few days there because there was so much to see! It was awesome. We took a bus tour to begin with, so we saw a lot right away, then walked back to see some of our favorite spots.
Ev was especially excited about the zebras because of her zebra Halloween costume. She was shouting, "Zeeba! Zeeba!"
