We were so so happy to have Alan, Patti and Grayden come to visit us here in Del Mar in the beginning of October. We packed a lot into a little weekend. Patti is now sold on the California coast. We did our job.
Surfer dudes. Even Alan got out there and tested the waves out!
Look alive, Brenan!
Papa and Yagi.
Nams snuggling the Truffles.

After Priesthood, a little splash - pad action. Ev and McKay got the most enjoyment out of climbing the stairs and riding the escalator.
Conferencing in general on Sunday.
A trip to La Jolla to see the temple grounds.
Driving the tractor around the temple.... appropriate? Hmm. We let it slide.

Go, go, go!
Man vs. wild
After the beach we dined at Rubios. Gourmet tacos, perfect weather, good company. Can't be beat.
While the boys went to Priesthood session, Patti and I took the kids on a riveting trip to Trader Joes. It was a highlight. Everything from Trader Joes is the best. I'm opening one in Provo mainly so I can shop there.

Some sweet Yoga moves from McKay.
She put M's trunks on herself. Papa also taught her how to count from 1 to 5 and most of our conference viewing was us trying to listen above her yell-counting.

Checking out the seals.
Our Canadian 'thanksgiving' feast consisting of ribs, stuffing (to make it more festive), green beans and salad with symphony bar - layered brownies for dessert. Delish.
At breakfast on Monday morning before the fam had to fly out.
