What a dashing young lad.. Happy 22nd, Dill! So glad we're here to celebrate with you!
McKay was ENTHRALLED with the sparkler
you can see the sparkler reflection in McKay's eyes. Don't mind the brewskies (aka sparkling cider) bottles on the counter, left over from our mad Thanksgiving partay.
Swing, swing, swing. I love to swing. I need to install one of these in my house. Literally. McKay would spend hours on this if he could! Check out the chubby legs! That's my boy.

BATHTIME! McKay's 2nd love, next to swinging, is tubby time. Brenan ensured the modesty here.. :) His favorite thing these days is to suck on his feet while in the tub. At least his feet are clean that way.
"I should splash that camera that's always in my face while I've got the chance."

Fingers are a great post-tub snack

This is McKay's tactic to get a nightly tub. That is a genuine Brenan expression, not just a pose for the camera. The honesty is stunning. This was actually a silent explosion. Usually McKay lets 'er rip when he's doing his business, but not this time. It played out like this:
(Brenan and Beth are sitting at the counter, McKay is in his bumbo on the counter)
Beth, upon smelling something foul in the air: "Brenan, did you toot?"
Brenan: "No."
Beth: "Are you sure?"
Brenan: "I didn't toot!"
McKay was the silent culprit!
The clean up process required:
Mom and Dad both getting poop on our hands
11 wipes
Poop on McKay's arms, head, and legs
Poop on the changing pad cover despite our efforts to put down wax paper
Wax paper stuck to McKay's body
Mom running a naked baby upstairs to the bathroom before more explosions occured
A warm and relaxing bath for a relieved baby :)

ps: what are the physics behind more poo being outside a diaper than in?! It defies nature! Nevermind that - the better question is how did it take this route out the diaper?!
I absolutely love being a Mom to my sweet McKay. Next to marrying Brenando, it is the best thing I've done with my life!

our first attempt at real food...

Our first try at rice cereal was not super successful...

hard to get in...
... a lot of gagging...
...many a grimace...
"Put the camera down and help me, Dad!"
... most of it ended up on his face, shirt, and me.

Another fantastic weekend

Grandma and Grandpa Hall (Shosho and Babu) came to visit for their long weekend (Canadian Thanksgiving). We were so glad they came!

Grandma Hall's shoulder is just too comfy after a long hard day of shopping! McKay NEVER falls asleep like this -- there must be something pretty special about Shosho.
Reverting to his caveman tendencies. I'm pretty sure he can go into hibernation now. That is a serious slab of meat! He doesn't mess around when it comes to ribs.

Dillon's birthday meal #1. Him and his friend Jessica. Thanks, Mom and Dad for treating us to Goodwood! It was a fun evening out.
McKay loved the attention of course :)

He wasn't sure what to make of Babu's mustache, but warmed up to him quickly.

Bird cooking the bird for Thanksgiving.
Mrs. Domesticated. Ha. Awkward picture - Brenan told me to toss the salad for the picture. You can just call me Betty.
Yet again, Betty at her best - Grandpa passed out after turkey. Just kidding, contemplating Isaiah will do this to a person. He was helping Dillon with an assignment for Book of Mormon class regarding Isaiah's writing. P.S. Do you like my gourds??

Happy baby. Loving the Bumbo (at the moment).

The Klains Came!

We were so lucky to have Alan, Patti, Dallin, Grayden, Kam and Mallory visit us here in Provo for Conference weekend. On Saturday night we slept 9 people in our place, comfortably :) It was awesome.. well hopefully the air mattress was comfortable for Mal and Kam. It was so fun to have so much family around. We loved being on Temple Square on Saturday and Dillon also joined Brenan, McKay and me in the tabernacle.
The Three Klain boys.. good lookin bunch. Waiting for the Trax in Murray, a new experience for us all.
McKay loved the Trax train. I watched as his eyes tried to track the moving scenery out the window, it was hilarious!
"I love to see the temple"

Love both the expression on G-monkey's face, as well as his hands. Such a proper lad :)
It was cold waiting for the Lion House - we bundled McKay right up! By the way, the food here is delish and perfect for between sessions. Thanks, Alan and Patti!
What a beautiful couple!
Sweet Mal!
Well dressed hobos. McKay looks so cute in this picture!
On our way to the shopping mall to join all the other ladies in Utah during the 6-8pm hours on Saturday of Conference Weekend.
The boys making their way to Priesthood
They just love each other so much...

McKay's eyeing the fridge, thinking about making himself a ham sandwich.
Brenan's serving up a little roasted chubbiness for dinner..
The oh so talented Grayden. He's got some serious bull-whipping skills and I even tried cracking it in the parking lot -- "tried" being the operative word.
Supreme wedgie from Uncle Dallin. McKay loved it. Thank goodness for thick diapers.

Chubba jr. He looks distraught but actually had a good time playing with his uncles.
